April Higashi Jewelry

All pieces are designed and made by April and our small team of goldsmiths at our studio in Berkeley, CA.

April and her team are happy to work with you to design a custom piece.
We can base the design off of a piece you've seen in one of our Portfolios or work with you to create something within our aesthetic.

We have a wide selection of stones we keep in stock or can source a stone to (most) specifications.
Custom pieces can also be created using your family heirloom stones. If the stone(s) is already set, upon inspection of the metal, we can sometimes use the existing gold or platinum in creating a new piece or apply the value to a credit.

The custom design process starts by talking with you about your ideas. From there we can provide you with drawings, metal choices and gemstones, or work with your drawings, images or ideas.

The time frame for each piece varies but in general most custom work requires 4-8 weeks for completion. If you have timing concerns, please discuss with us and we will try our best to accommodate your time frame.

Please be aware that April and the studio can become quite busy with custom design work and there may be a wait list for quotes and drawings.

After the project is designed and approved a 50% deposit is required before we can start.
Deposits can not be refunded.
Custom designs which include stones sourced specifically for your project require full payment of the stone as well as the 50% deposit before we can begin.

Please note there are no returns on custom work.

If you are interested in commissioning a custom piece, please take a few minutes to answer the questions below to help give us an idea of your project.

We will contact you within 2-3 days of receiving your email.
